I recently took part in a printing workshop run by Professor Karen Oremus at a Gems School in Dubai.  Karen uses collograph printing techniques in her work. She explores the unpredictability and fragility of life from both a universal and personal perspective.  This is emphasized through her examination of the concept of physical and environmental decay brought about by the passage of time, physical disease and decay and destruction through war. Oremus seeks marks, colours, forms and lines which remind her that the past is mysterious and our destiny unpredicatable.
