ABOUT ME
BA Honours degree in Art & Design at Leeds University
Since graduating I have done commissions in painting and illustration and I currently teach art in the International Education arena.
My work has evolved over the last 3 years from individual customised works to being led intuitively by my experiences both internally and outwardly. The result is deeply personal. I am fascinated by objects that show the passage of time, walls with many marks (sometimes in decay), streets (people and things in transition), buildings (how time makes demands on the structure) and well-trodden places. I seek out these things visually in my photography and drawing. I am translating what I see into marks, colours, shapes, textures, using painting and printing as my technique. My medium varies and I look to emulate those things I see and want to incorporate visually into my work with all manner of materials.
